Micheline Van Hautem, born and raised in Ghent, Belgium, is an extraordinary cabaret singer, known for her interpretations of the music of Jacques Brel. Her show The Songs of Jacques Brel won her the Edinburgh Fringe’s prestigious Herald Angel Award, and her captivating performance style has been described by the London Times as “simply fabulous.”

Her new show Brel with Chocolat, celebrates the work of Brel and the way in which he has inspired her own work; "I play my own Brel favourites and my own originals that have been largely inspired by Brel’s work,” she said. In Brel with Chocolat, Micheline will interweave her Brel favourites, including Ne Me Quitte Pas, The Port of Amsterdam and Seasons in the Sun among others, with originals from her first solo album Chocolat including collaborations with The Alessi Brothers and Tim Finn.
