One of the most celebrated and influential musical groups of our time, Kronos Quartet will tour Australia for the final time in March 2023, in celebration of its 50th anniversary.
The KRONOS Five Decades Tour – the eighth Australian tour for the acclaimed ensemble produced by APA, will take in Perth Festival, the Arts Centre Melbourne, Tasmania’s Ten Days on the Island, Adelaide’s WOMADelaide and Adelaide Festival, before concluding the tour at the Sydney Opera House.
Classical music hasn’t sounded the same since Kronos Quartet emerged onto the scene 50 years ago. The quartet has always pursued a singular vision, combining a spirit of fearless exploration with a commitment to continually reimagine the string quartet experience which has reshaped contemporary chamber music and broken-down barriers between genres.
