Hotel Pro Forma's landmark work OPERATION:ORFEO returns to Australia this February.
Thirty years ago, Arts Projects Australia brought the renowned visual opera to Australia. Now, this breathtaking performance in Three Movements returns for a new generation at Arts Centre Melbourne and Perth Festival – an experience not to be missed!
Since its premiere in 1993, OPERATION:ORFEO has been acclaimed as one of the most internationally celebrated works in Danish theatre history. The work reimagines opera through a striking fusion of music, visual art and performance, with 2026 director Marie Dahl maintaining the concept and direction of the company's founding director, the late Kirsten Dehlholm (1945-2024).
