Your heart dances. The world seems strange and new.

Noel Coward’s “Brief Encounter” is remembered as one of the most haunting love stories ever. The award winning Kneehigh Theatre is one of the most loved and admired theatre companies in the country. Emma Rice - presides over the marriage of these two as director and adaptor.
With the characteristic wit and musicality of Kneehigh, the joy and heartache of this timeless story will be brought to the stage - “the company that has put the soul back into storytelling in the theatre” (The Guardian).
“I want to remember every minute. Always. Always to the end of my days.”
The cast for the English production includes two Australian members - Michelle Nightingale (who plays the lead Laura) and Kate Cheel (cast as Beryl, the tea room assistant). The two have travelled to London to rehearse with the other 6 cast members including UK and US actors Annette McLaughlin, Damon Daunno and Joseph Alessi (from the 2010 Broadway production) and Jim Sturgeon, Dave Brown and James Gow.
"We are really excited to be working with Kate Cheel and Michelle Nightingale" says Emma Rice, joint Artistic Director or Kneehigh and Adaptor and Director of Brief Encounter.
