A new creation, the Parachilna Garden Café, was a full-service restaurant on-site run in partnership with Andrew Fielke from the Prairie Hotel in the Flinders Ranges. The festival took Ravibandhu Vidyapathy from Sri Lanka to Coober Pedy with Country Arts SA to lead percussion workshops, and a new area - 'Speakers Corner' - was born.

Highlights: An uplifting set from Jimmy Cliff in the (clearing) rain, Orchestra Baobab, Paul Kelly, Amjad Ali Khan, Miriam Makeba, Evelyn Glennie with Dream Engine’s Heliosphere in the air above our heads, and we presented the first DJ set in Botanic Park – Talvin Singh on Stage 3.

Their renditions of tunes ranging from Pink Floyd to Jewel are effortlessly funny on their own. The Kranskys are comic creations of a disturbingly believable kind. Darkly hilarious and discomfortingly clever.
