Osadía (Spain)

Audacious, original and entertaining, Osadía is a street theatre company from Barcelona that performs ‘live hair art’. Two spectacular-looking artists create daring and evocative makeovers on members of the audience, to the delight and awe of onlookers. Coming from dance, music, art and theatre backgrounds, the artists have been trained in the unique art of hair sculpture and makeup artistry.

With a cult following, Osadía has performed at festivals all over the world, as well as in public squares, parks, on the street and at indoor events. Under the creative eye of the artists, volunteers undergo imaginative makeovers that can even affect the way they behave, as they suddenly become the centre of attention. As they move through the rest of their day, they stir interest and admiration, ensuring that the performance continues through them for hours afterwards.
