Thomas joined Arts Projects Australia (APA) in 2015 as Publicity Coordinator for WOMADelaide and went on to work at the event every year since. Thomas has worked in various positions throughout his career and brings a unique skill set to APA combining years of experience in digital and traditional marketing, social media, publicity, media planning and ticketing.
Prior to becoming Marketing Manager at WOMADelaide, Thomas was the Marketing Coordinator at the Adelaide Film Festival, one of the first festivals in Australia to happen after the pandemic. He then moved into the role of Marketing and Communications Coordinator at Illuminate Adelaide, helping to launch its inaugural year in 2021 and again in 2022. This included a career highlight working on the sold-out Gorillaz show at Adelaide Entertainment Centre.
Thomas also spent several years working as a Publicist at Against The Grain, connecting people to great artistic and social achievements. Clients Thomas worked with include Music SA, the South Australian Music Awards, Hybrid World Adelaide, Mercury Cinema, Screen Makers Conference, Carclew, Adelaide Food Fringe, The Travelling Table, Block Rocking Beats, Beach Life and a number of Fringe shows each year.
