Dani Ricciardi

Director of Marketing & Development

Throughout Dani’s career she has worked with local, interstate and international arts events, companies and touring bodies. Her main driver and focus across her career has been to advocate for, and show value in Australia’s arts and cultural sector and the role it plays in benefiting the wellbeing of a place and person.

Dani started her career in marketing arts and cultural events with an Adelaide-based ticketing and events company where she worked on the management of access, ticketing and FOH functions across a diverse range of events and festivals around the country, including Peats Ridge Festival (NSW), National Folk Festival (ACT), Royal Adelaide Show (SA) and WOMADelaide (SA).

She then spent several years working at Adelaide Festival Centre, then Adelaide Festival as Marketing Executive. After this Dani moved to Melbourne where she worked as Marketing Manager for Melbourne International Arts Festival. She returned to Adelaide for a small stint with Arts Projects Australia as Assistant producer in 2018 then was engaged by Adelaide Festival Centre (AFC) as Associate Director, Marketing, Sales and Audience Engagement where she was responsible for the department’s marketing and communications functions across all revenue raising programs, including AFC presented festivals Adelaide Cabaret Festival, OzAsia, DreamBig and Adelaide Guitar Festival. Dani’s objective was to realise, negotiate and harness the power of the collective events in developing audiences, and increasing box office attendance while building brand awareness for Adelaide Festival Centre. She was equally responsible for the execution of marketing services for commercial hirers, including West Side Story and School of Rock the Musical.

Most recently, Dani was part of the leadership team for the inaugural winter event, Illuminate Adelaide, 2020-2022 where she led the creation and execution of the brand’s visual identity, in parallel with building a data driven communications strategy which focused on audience and data acquisition, brand awareness and key economic impact indicators.

Now returning back to Arts Projects Australia, Dani is responsible for all Marketing and Communications functions across Arts Projects Australia presentations including WOMADelaide
